Health officials are concerned about a possible “twindemic” with surges of both flu and COVID-19 outbreaks at the same time. Keep your employees protected and facility healthy by following these helpful tips:
A Shot In The Arm – Literally!
Getting a flu shot is the most effective way to avoid the twindemic and keep facilities healthy. This year, 700,000 more vaccines will be available across the country than last year. Getting the flu shot not only protects employees from getting sick but also makes them less likely to spread the flu to others. Encourage employees to get a flu shot as soon as possible.
Practice Proper Handwashing
Just 20 seconds with soap and water can dramatically reduce the spread of harmful pathogens. Remind employees and customers to follow proper hand hygiene with posters that show step-by-step instructions on how to wash hands. If proper handwashing isn’t possible, ensure your employees have access to hand sanitizers. Check out our Healthy Workplace Communications Kit for free posters and guides you can download to use in your facility.
Ramp up facility cleaning and disinfection
Ramp up cleaning and disinfecting to stop the spread of the flu and COVID-19, especially on common touch point such as tables, chairs and light switches. Contact us to get advice from our Cleaning & Hygiene experts on your facility cleaning plan.
